Transformation Manager

Job Description:

The Transformation Manager will support and consult on strategic initiatives within one of Sage’s Transformation initiatives. They will operate at a strategic level, responsible for driving transformation at pace and monitoring complex transformation priorities across Sage. The Transformation Manager will work in Partnership with the wider TO and be deployed to solve specific outcomes, define objectives, and drive acceleration of the transformation priorities. They will work in detail, understand the critical points, and apply them to the higher-level strategy to unblock challenges and allow transformation to move faster. They will work closely with project teams as an advanced transformation partner, ensuring these teams are executing delivery at the highest standard by using knowledge of agile ways of working and critical thinking to advise and influence direction and transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Maintains a Sage-first, outcome-focused mindset at all times.

• Able to simplify complex strategic topics into influential and actionable visuals and transformation papers across multiple functions and areas of expertise.

• Effective and adaptable leadership style that can be cross-functionally deployed to support specific transformation with foundational expertise across project management, change management, and agile delivery.

• Ability to design, implement, and appraise programmes of work from inception to delivery of outcomes.

• Experienced in the design and operation of Sage, provide expertise regarding design improvements that would enhance the Operating Model of Sage

• Responsible for reviewing the effectiveness of the Operating Model and Sage Ways of working.

• Recommend strategic opportunities through a solution-focused mindset, being able to simplify complexity and unblock challenges, enabling transformation at Sage to go faster

• Monitor and evaluate the progress, performance, and outcomes of the transformation activities and outcomes.

• Provide guidance and support to project team members and leaders involved in transformation

Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have:

• Able to work effectively in ambiguity and thrives in challenging and complex environments.

• Expert knowledge in project management, change management and business analysis skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• High proficiency in creating clear and effective PowerPoint and Transformation documents regarding strategic recommendations.

• Clear and concise communicator, someone who can distil complex topics into focused actions and outcomes.

• Strong, action orientation, independent thinking with excellent organisation skills, and ability to navigate through ambiguity.

• Excellent stakeholder management

• Proven track record of delivering successful business outcomes through transformation initiatives.

Technical / professional qualifications:

• Qualified in Agile Delivery (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, Agile PM)

• Qualified in structured project management (e,g, Prince, MSP, PMI)

• Qualified in Change management (E.g. ADKAR)
