Java Software Engineer
Job Description:
We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our Brightpearl team in Bristol.
You'll be working on Inventory Planner by Sage, a SaaS platform that helps e-commerce retailers forecast demand for their products, purchase new stock from their suppliers based on our forecasts, and optimise their cashflows.
Your mission is to swiftly resolve customer issues and prevent disruptions to Engineering team workflows. Use your expertise to overcome challenges, ensure efficient software delivery, and deploy reliable solutions for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and decision ownership:
Collaborate in a small agile team to develop new features, enhance existing ones, prototype applications, and improve SaaS infrastructure.
Support analysis, design, development, and maintenance of solutions for multiple services aligned with Sage's marketplace needs.
Work with engineers to ensure preparatory analysis for team deliverables.
Maintain a learning mindset to implement evolving architectural decisions.
Engage in architectural discussions and contribute to system improvements and technical debt management.
About you:
You are skilled in relevant software technologies such as Java, PHP, JavaScript or Go
You have great problem-solving abilities and can find innovative and creative solutions to group problems regarding existing architecture, projects, and methodologies.
You have a growth mindset and an ability to learn quickly.
